I am an experienced substantive Consultant Haematologist at the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton, with specialist expertise in both haematological medicine and pathology, developed through comprehensive training at King’s College Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital, London.
With a strong commitment to compassionate, patient-centred care, I have led services that have been recognised and revalidated for Clinical Service Excellence by Myeloma UK, the UK’s leading myeloma charity. Alongside clinical practice, I have a deep interest in clinical trials and have served as Principal Investigator for my hospital for the haematology trials.
I am listed on the Specialist Register of the GMC and am also an accredited Trainer. In addition, I hold a Master’s degree in Medical Leadership, which has underpinned my work in several senior leadership roles at my Trust, as the Regional Advisor for the Royal College of Pathologists and as a Trustee on the Board of the British Society for Haematology.
